What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your computer when you visit a website. The function is partly to make sure that you, as the website visitor, have a good experience regarding access to all features, and partly so that the website owner can measure the ongoing traffic on the site.

How Olcon Engineering AB uses cookies

We use two types of cookies, permanent and temporary cookies.

  • Permanent cookies are permanently saved as a file on your computer. For example, they tell you what is new on our site since you last visited us, and they collect statistics about how the site is used.
  • Session cookies are files temporarily stored on your computer. They exist on your computer while you visit the website and vanish as soon as you close the page. They are used to, for example, keep track of which language you select and to ensure that pages are loaded quickly on your computer.

We use the analytics tool Google Analytics to collect statistics and measure traffic on our site. This may include information about how the visitor has clicked on our site, which pages are visited and how long the visit lasts. We do not save any personal information about you as a visitor. Cookies can not harm your files or increase the risk of viruses on your computer.

How to manage and remove cookies

If you do not want to allow cookies to be stored on your computer, you can set this in your browser’s help section. There, you can also delete cookies that you have saved formerly. However, keep in mind that some features on our site are dependent on cookies and may not work if you remove them.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
